I have finally found a fireplace log that not only burns bright and beautiful, but it does not throw off that awful chemical smell. These logs are made with recycled coffee grounds. I know! ingenious right!? I just wish they gave off the scent of coffee, but it doesn't.
For the third year running, I am burning and enjoying Yankee Candle’s Autumn Wreath. For me, it is the perfect blend of scents that subtly shouts Fall in New England.
Some know the fall season is upon them when the leaves start turning. For me, it is when our boxes of Fatwood form Plow & Hearth arrive at our front door.
There is just something about pouring our favorite cocktail libations out of these beautiful decanters. Our full lead crystal Chartres decanter and old fashioned glasses are by Vista Alegra.
When I posted this picture of my cookie cutters inside of the cookie jar I was pleasantly surprised at how many asked where I purchased the jar (and the whale). The whale was a one off from an artist, but the Anchor Hocking 2 Gallon cookie jar is available here. There is also a 1 gallon size available.
Call me crazy, but I was excited when I got this Scotts Mower as a gift from my husband. It is perfect for some of the smaller lawn areas of our yard. You can read more about my mowing experience here or if you want to learn more about the Scotts mower, just click on the photo below.
On day four of our moving in, I set out to find fabric red, white, and blue patriotic Bunting for our new home and fence. I could not be more pleased with the quality of this bunting that is made in the usa.

During a meal at the Rangeley Inn, in Rangeley, ME, I loved how the french fries were presented on my husband's meal. It took a burger and fries from ho hum to something a little extra special. I found a bowl from Sur La Table, that looks the same (it could even be the same bowl).
Playing chess is something my husband and I like to do on a rainy night or when we just want to relax. Having played chess all over the world during our travels, I have to admit, playing with this glass chess set was a lot of fun since I am used to using wood, plastic, or metal.
Taking a break by the band stand after an early morning bike ride. My white skechers are used to walking, but I think biking is going to be happening a lot more!
For two years in a row, I have purchased Yankee candle's autumn wreath candle to burn in my kitchen. It is strong enough to make you think of fall, but not too strong to make you go running out of the room. I will be purchasing it each fall that's for sure, especially since it is a New England brand.

During a winter visit to the Breakers, one of the mansions in Newport, RI, I was inspired to find out a bit more about cooking with copper pots. A few notes on the benefits of cooking with copper can be found on my blog.
Whenever we are at our getaway cabin in the mountains of Maine, I look forward to the chilly nights so that I can wear my Woolrich black and red buffalo check pajama pants and black flannel top. PS, I am a shorty at 5’2” and these are a good length on me, just breaking on the top of my feet.

Apple Pie With Leaf Pie Crust - I found these leaf cookie cutters at a little shop in Vermont, but for those not close to a store, I did find the exact leave cookie cutter for you. Another usa made product! This Apple Pie recipe is one that I have been making for as long as I can remember.
Such a memorable evening. Sitting in leather chairs, by the fire at The Charlotte Inn, in Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard with my husband. The Charlotte Inn is a stunning relais chateaux property and historic home / inn full of antiques and collections from the owners own travels and collections. While supplies last, I was able to find the boot I have, but in black, and another style that is similar.
