During a trip to Falmouth, MA to meet with a client, I had the pleasure of chatting with a woman who was having lunch a few seats down from me at a local restaurant.  We got talking and quickly found out that we shared a passion for old homes and gardens.  Without hesitation she invited me to view a home and garden she knew of that was close to the Captain Fairfield Inn, where I was staying.  Her home was within walking distance from the inn, so the next morning we met, both with coffee in hand, and headed over to Highfield Hall in Falmouth in my car.  Not only was the home beautiful, but the garden took my breath away.  When there are no events being held, there is no charge to walk the grounds and as you can see from the photos, the sunken garden was stunning on this summer day.
